Picadilly Circus Designs Review and Giveaway

Picadilly Circus Designs is a fantastic shop where you can order the cutest shirts for your little ones. You can get custom numbers and letters for your little one, or choose one of the adorable pre-made designs!

I was lucky enough to get to try out an awesome shirt from Picadilly Circus Designs. Suzanne sent us the number 6 baseball style shirt which Annika proudly wore on her 6th Birthday - and for many days after that!

I love the bright colours and how stunning it is - everyone complimented everywhere we went! Annika loved proudly displaying she was 6 and how people stopped her to say "You must be 6!!" and "Happy Birthday!"

Suzanne, owner of Picadilly Circus Designs has generously offered a free shirt from her shop for one of our lucky readers!

Small Potatoes Review

I became a "fan" of Small Potatoes on Facebook about a year and a half ago, I browsed their page and checked out their website. I immediately was attracted to the fabulous fabric options that they carried, but alas at that time I didn't have any "babies" so I felt I couldn't justify a purchase.

Fast forward a year and here I am with two new babies and all the justification I need to shop! When Sarah and I were talking about home grown companies and we both thought of Holly at Small Potatoes. Sarah contacted her and she generously offered a few of her products to review. She sent us Binky Leashes and a toddler hat.

For all you out there who believe they can get along without a Binky Leash (we call them soosie clips in our house) think again. This is probably the most simple of baby must haves but is a definite can't live without. Since Abigail was the last of our kids to use a soother, the twins had been sharing one with a pink ribbon and a baby lamb clip to keep track of their soosies. When they got the Small Potatoes Binky Leashes I am pretty sure I heard a sigh of relief from them.

These Binky Leashes are obviously convenient but they are super stylish as well. The boys have coordinating stripe and polka dot ribbon in greens, blues ans greys. Coincidentally they match their actual soothers perfectly. Though these gadgets are small and simple they take on a lot of wear and tear, that's why Holly serge's all the loops and uses stainless steel clips. Like the website says "because gravity always wins and floors are never clean enough" this is reason enough to buy a Binky Leash and it doesn't hurt that they are only$5. At that price you can't afford not to buy more than one.

I was lucky enough to receive a toddler hat as well in the traffic jam pattern~too adorable. What I loved about if instantly, besides the fabric was how soft it was. I didn't need to wash it first just so Keaton would wear it. The brim folds up on it own when he is in his car seat, very important for actually keeping a hat on this child, as well it cleans up nicely (spot washed already thanks to a DQ dip cone). Tons of boy or girl fabric options, it will be very hard to choose, but I am thinking guitar hero next, for the babies.

Small Potatoes has hip fabrics and great baby gear, no fluff here just everyday stuff that helps simplify a chaotic life and looks good doing it. Her dresses are to die for and are my new girlie gift to give and her diaper clutches are prefect shower gifts. The clutches and bibs in select patterns are on special right now, so check it out.

Winnipeg Moms can shop locally or online, but you can find Small Potatoes gear across the country , click here to find out where. Thank-you again to Holly for her generosity and of course for her addiction to cool fabrics! Think Small Potatoes next time you need a hip gift or cool looking necessity, you won't be sorry!

Elliven Studio Review and Giveaway

One night when blog hopping I came across a site called Lovely Clusters and here this very smart women had listed "crafty" blogs by region. I headed to the Canadian section and was surprised to find someone from Winnipeg. Of course I had to see what the fellow 'pegger was offering so I hopped on over to elliven studio.

Here I found exactly what I have always needed, not wanted by needed! For all of you who know me, you know that I constantly lose my bank card. I toss in in the back pocket of my jeans and forget that its there, so it ends up in the laundry only to be never seen again! This is a source of contention in my household, because I then take the hubby's to shop and forget to put it back. Next thing you know he can't pay for his gas..opps!

Anyways, at ellieven studio I found the prettiest of Mommy necessities~a mini card holder and coupon/receipt holder. I was so impressed with not only the idea of these products but with how pleasing they were to look at. The fabrics that Julie (creator) chooses are fresh, playful and oh so pretty. Ever the shopper I knew I had to get these.

I contacted Julie to see if I could possibly get a matching set before I placed my order through her Etsy shop. My email was answered promptly and in that email she not only offered to make me a matching accessory set but she offered to give it to me to do a review on. Much more than I was anticipating!

Only a few days later I got another email from this busy Mama of two boys, saying that my matching accessory set was complete, both were finished in my fabric of choice a colourful Amy Butler original called "Love". Since we both live in the same city, we figured that it should only take a few days for my package to arrive. Clearly my mailman did not have the same idea~I had to wait over the weekend to get my gift. On Monday it finally arrived, along with 13 other pieces of mail, oh joy!

I, of course, opened up my package first~completely neglecting the other ominous letters calling my name. My accessory set was wrap in matching pink tissue so everything co-ordinated very nicely. Also included were two beautiful hand made cards, that Julie creates as well. One for me to have and one addressed to me. The one addressed to me had a personal hand written note to me and two very professional business cards. I thought that adding a hand written note was such a nice touch, no one "writes" anymore, but I think the that when someone takes the time out of an obviously busy day to make that extra step it says a lot about them.

I couldn't be more happy about my set~ I pulled out my license and bank card from my overstuffed wallet and stuck them in my new card holder, perfect fit!! I then sorted my stack of receipts and coupons strewn about in my diaper bag, wallet and purse. I divided them up and neatly tucked them away opposite one another in the divided pockets of the receipt holder. I feel like such an organized lady now, well at least on the outside!

That night, I had to run to the grocery store and I LOVED the fact that I just grabbed my keys and mini card holder. No purse, no bulky diaper bag, just the ease of having my necessities zipped into my vest pocket. I was also able to fold $20 into the one of the divided pockets of the card holder.

Julie also makes makes and sells sunglasses holders, checkbook holders, notepad holders and gorgeous stationary products. Each item she makes herself and the quality of her creations is top notch with exceptional value because her prices are very fair. If you are looking for a unique hostess gift or just trying to make your life a little easier, please take the time out of you day to visit Julies Etsy shop.

Julie has generously offered another matching accessory set to giveaway to one of our lucky readers. Elliven studio a place where beautiful creations are made with heart....

Lennah Review and GIVEAWAY

THANK YOU FOR ENTERING - THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED!!

We are so excited to offer another Giveaway!!

I was first introduced to Lennah Designs through Facebook, a friend of mine became a friend and suggested I do the same. I went to the FB page and then connected to the website. I was very excited to find some beautiful jewelry, with two design roles. It looks great and it keeps tiny hands busy.

I kept browsing through the website and noticed that the company donated a proceed of their sales to the Children's Hospital of Toronto~very close to my heart. Just through that info alone, I decided to to a quick post about this generous Canadian company.

Well, it so happens that the owner, Stella, read my post and kindly offered to send me a necklace as a gift! She did not ask for a review, or for us to post her button, she just wanted to make a busy Mom of 5 day a little brighter. When I read her email a tear came to my eye, who does this nowadays? In a world where we communicate through machines~voicemail, email, twitter, blogs~it can be hard to make an actual connection, but I believe that I have, thankfully!

My necklace arrived on a less then perfect day, I felt relief that there was something other than bills and the usual junk mail. When I opened the manila envelope, there was my gift perfectly wrapped in brown tissue. When I tore the tissue I found a lovely "nursing necklace" made from green, amber and cream beads.

For those of you who unaware of what a nursing necklace is all I can say is that it is brilliant! The necklace is constructed with a break away clasp so when your wee one pulls on it when nursing it doesn't fall apart and break in their hands. The beads are made from non toxic acrylic beads that have been lab tested to ensure their safety for little ones who like to put things in their mouth. I am not nursing anymore but my twins love to play with it when I carry them in my sling. Liam especially likes hold the "ring" in between his fingers and coos at it. I feel good and the baby is happy, is there anything better? YEP!

Two things actually~first the break away clasp actually works. I didn't have the necklace but 5 minutes when my beast of a two year old ( I say that with love) grabbed it and ran. Out of pure knee jerk reaction a grabbed the necklace before he could get to far and in Keaton style he kept running~ SNAP! I instinctively closed my eyes, so afraid that this never worn creation was toast, but the clasp totally worked. It broke away and Keaton kept running and was holding a perfect necklace in my hand. The second thing that I love about my gift is this tiny silver tag that Stella places at the back of the necklace, it reads "made with love", and I believe that it is. Stella is busy working Mom who had other Mom's in mind when she started making jewelry. She knows what is like to stay home in sweats all day and not remember if you have brushed you teeth or not.

Stella has graciously offered another necklace for us to giveaway! So please visit her site and take a peak around, you don't need to be a nursing mama to enjoy her jewelry~buy a piece for the next shower you need to go to, or for that busy Gramma that babysits your rug rats twice a week, trust me any women would appreciate one of these necklaces. And maybe if there is enough us on board we can convince her to make some equally as stunning bracelets!!

Thank-you to my new friend Stella and her company Lennah ~jewelry for today's mama.
