Another important safety recall, this time coming from the GAP. They took it upon themselves to contact Health Canada regarding this situation. The glass beads on several styles of a GapKids girl's tank top do not meet their tough safety standards and certain government regulations. The tops were sold exclusively in their GapKids stores in the U.S. and Canada between February 15 and 28, 2010. They come in two colors – white and grey. You can find the following style numbers printed on the inner center neck seam of the tanks pictured below: 707083-001 (US), 707083-011(US), 707083-004(CAN), 707083-014(CAN).
Customers who return their items will receive a full refund on the purchase price paid within one to two billing cycles. In addition, and as a gesture of their appreciation, they offering a coupon for 20% off that you may use for a future purchase of any one item at a GapKids store.
Please pass this on to anyone you know who may have shopped at GapKids during this time period. It is nice to see that they are on top of the situation and hopefully there will be no negative outcomes.
