It's rumored that Gymboree is going back to the way things once were and only keeping 5 lines out at a time. Anything older than that will be kept boxed in the back and only brought out at the big sales like Big Red Balloon Sale.
This is intriguing because it means they will likely have TONS of product at the sale, and lots of sizes rather than finding a sock to match the leggings you found last sale and the sweater you bought off the rack a few months ago, but for regular sales (like Gymbucks) the deals won't be so easy to find.
I wonder if they'll do the same thing online and only sell the past 5 lines except for at sale time.
